Mahwah, NJ: The College of New Jersey men's swim team earned a 169-86 win over Ramapo College today at the Adele & Reuben Thomas Pool. The Lions remain undefeated at 3-0 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 11 on the year.
Jack Hill broke the 100-yard freestyle program record when he touched the wall in 46.08 seconds. Hill helped the Roadrunners to a second place finish in the 200-yard IM with a combined time of 1:36.51. The team was made up of
Tyler Moore,
Benjamin Gomez and Joseph Swede. Hill also won the 100-yard backstroke in 50.92 seconds, just over three seconds faster than runner-up TCNJ.
Samuel De Leon posted a time of 1:02.71 in the 100-yard breaststroke to place second overall while Moore placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:25.55. Hill would also win the 500-yard freestyle in 4:55.42 while Gomez and
Giovanni Alvarez went 2-3 in the 100-yard butterfly with times of 53.96 seconds and 57.69 seconds.
Caleb Baron placed second in the 200-yard IM (2:10.82) while
AJ Guevara finished third in 2:16.55.
Ramapo returns to action Tuesday, November 14th when they travel to William Paterson University for a meet that begins at 6:00 PM.
