Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team earned a 4-0 shutout victory over Cedar Crest College in non-conference action tonight at the Athletic Center Turf Field. The Roadrunners improve to 3-6 overall while the Falcons drop to 2-10 overall.
Victoria Chavez scored her first of two goals in the game with 10:38 on the clock off an assist from
Morgan Trotter. Chavez made it 2-0 for the Roadrunners (21:04) before
Tessa Pofahl tallied her first career goal in the 28th minute (27:04) to extend the lead, 3-0.
Allison Tanasy assisted on Profal's goal. In the final quarter,
Kayla Gray collected her second goal of the season as
Eliana Momm earned the assist as Ramapo led, 4-0.
For the game Ramapo held a 15-7 advantage in shots in the game and 10-3 in shots on goal. Ramapo also recorded eight penalty corners for the game while Cedar Crest posted four.
Michelle Kukan started the game in goal for Ramapo and did not have to make a save in the game while
Erika Roura worked the final 15 minutes in the cage and recorded two saves.
The Roadrunners return to action tomorrow afternoon at the Turf Field as they host Keystone College in a non-conference game at 4pm.
