RAMAPO TAKES DOWN RUTGERS-CAMDEN BEHIND CAREER HIGH 22 POINTS FROM BARLOW

Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College Men's basketball team posted a 70-51 victory over Rutgers-Camden today at the Bradley Center behind a career high 22 points from Elijah Barlow. The Roadrunners improve to 6-8 overall and 2-5 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raptors now stand at 2-12 overall and 0-7 in the conference.
 
Barlow, who led all scorers in the game with 22 points, finished 8-13 from the field including 3-6 from the three-point line and 3-6 from the free throw line. Justin Bladen and Shane Rooney each tallied 11 points while Bladen posted five rebounds, four steals and three assists. Rooney added six rebounds and three steals. Anthony Corbo finished with a team high eight rebounds while he tacked on ten points, four assists, two blocked shots and two steals. The Roadrunners defense held Rutgers-Camden to just 19 points in the first half while forcing 24 turnovers in the game. Ramapo capitalized to score 25 points off of Rutgers-Camden turnovers. The Roadrunners shot 50% (25-50) from the field, 40% (8-20) from the three-point line and 70% (12-17) from the free throw line. Ramapo's largest lead in the game came late in the second half  when they led by 36 points, as Julian Diamond sank a three-pointer to lead 68-32.
 
Cameron Downs led Rutgers-Camden with 17 points while he added five rebounds. Jaymes Savage and Anthony Orzechowski each tallied eight points while Savage collected five rebounds and three assists. Rich Santos posted seven points and added two steals. The Scarlet Raptors shot 43% (21-48) from the floor in the game, 35% (6-17) from the three-point line and 50% (3-6) from the free throw line.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, January 11th when they travel to William Paterson University for a NJAC game at 8pm.
