BLADEN POSTS CAREER HIGH 17 POINTS IN WIN OVER KEAN, 76-63

Union, NJ: The Ramapo College men's basketball team posted a 76-63 NJAC road win over Kean University tonight at Hardwood Arena. The Roadrunners move to 8-11 overall and 4-8 in the NJAC while the Cougars now stand at 14-5 overall and 7-5 in the conference.
 
Kean opened the first half on a 7-0 run before Ramapo got on the board with a three-pointer from Elijah Barlow. Kean led 9-3 before Shane Rooney started the run with a layup while Justin Bladen scored a basket and Jordan Myers sank a pair of free throws to tie the at nine. Kean made a basket before Ramapo re-tied the game at 11 on a Bladen jumper. Following a free throw from Kean, Ramapo started a 9-2 run with a jumper from Rooney while the run was capped off with a Barlow three-pointer for a 22-14 lead. Ramapo then sank six three-pointers in the final eight minutes of action. Bladen sank four three-pointers including three straight while Peter Gorman closed out the half with a three-pointer with one second on the clock as Ramapo went into the locker room with a 46-26 lead. In the first half, Ramapo shot 53% (16-30) from the floor, 75% (9-12) from the three-point line and 50% (5-10) from the free throw line.
 
The Cougars opened the second half on a 6-2 run before Gorman sank a three-pointer for Ramapo for a 51-32 lead. Kean then went on an 11-4 run to shrink the Roadrunner lead before Myers and Gorman recorded back-to-back jumpers, 59-43. Ramapo led by 16 with 5:47 on the clock before Kean went on an 8-2, to close the gap 68-58 with 3:45 left in the game. Gorman and Myers once again scored back-to-back baskets for the Roadrunners to extend the lead back to 14 with 3:05 on the clock, 72-58. In the final two minutes of action, Jamison scored all five points for the Cougars while Gorman and Tyrell Murchison each added two points for Ramapo. The Roadrunners came away with a 76-63 road NJAC victory.
 
All five starting players for Ramapo scored in double figures as Bladen posted a career high 17 points while he added three rebounds and four assists. Gorman led in scoring with 19 points along with five assists and four rebounds. Rooney and Myers each had an identical 13 points and nine rebounds while Myers added five assists. Barlow posted 12 points along with four assists and four rebounds. In the game the Roadrunners shot 52% (28-53) from the field, 58% (10-17) from the three-point line and 55% (10-18) from the free throw line.
 
Jamison led Kean with 20 points including four steals while Letrell West added 15 points and six rebounds. Griffin Barker posted eight points and a team high eight rebounds along with four steals and one blocked shot. Kean shot 35% (22-62) from the floor, 9% (2-21) from the three-point line and 68% (17-25) from the free throw line.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, January 28th when they host Rowan University at the Bradley Center in NJAC action at 1pm.
