Annandale, NY: The Ramapo College men's tennis team won their first dual match of the season over Bard College in non-conference action, 5-4. The Roadrunners now stand at 1-0 overall while Bard drops to 0-2 overall.
At number three doubles,
Matthew Doran and
Erik Dunne teamed up to post an 8-6 win before heading into singles action. The Roadrunners won four out of six matches as
Siddharth Byreddy posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles.
Kenny Elliott won 6-2, 6-1 at second singles, Doran earned a 6-4, 6-0 win at third singles and Ciarletta outlasted his opponent at fourth singles with a 4-6, 6-3, 1-0.
The Roadrunners will return to action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to the ITA Northeast Region Championships hosted by Drew University. The ITAs are scheduled to run through Sunday, October 2nd.
