Geneva, OH:  Day two of the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships saw Cheickna Traore advance to the finals of the 400m dash with a new school record.
 
Traore broke his own school record in the 400m dash with a time of 46.55 seconds. He finished second in his heat and had the second fastest time of the three-heat event. Traore will compete for two NCAA Titles on Saturday afternoon; the 400m final at 1:20pm and the 200m final at 2:50pm. He will be in lane four in the 400m race and lane six in the 200m race. Traore finished in fourth place in the 200m race during the 2022 Indoor Championships in March.
