Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's outdoor track and field team hosted the Ramapo College Invitational the April 1st and April 2nd. The Roadrunners finished 3rd overall with 68.5 points.
On Friday afternoon,
Steven Fiumefreddo logged ten points for the team when he won the 10k race in 31:28.06. The 4x800m relay team placed 4th overall with a time of 8:23.37. They were made up of
Matt Cortez,
Jason Mercado,
Michael Mohr and
Max Dubac. In the field events on Friday,
Sebastian Pross placed 2nd overall with a mark of 47.82 meters as he grabbed eight points for the team.
On Saturday, Dubac won the 400m hurdles race when he crossed the finish line in 56.27 seconds. Cortez finished in 6th place in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:16.39.
Kenyon Fenderson posted a time of 11.24 seconds in the 100-meter dash for a fourth place finish in prelims to qualify for finals. In the finals, Fenderson grabbed a 3rd place finish with a time of 11.14 seconds. Also, in the 400m hurdles
Alec Mabie and
Christian Santiago went 5-6 overall with times of 59.19 and 1:00.35 respectively. Fenderson also clocked in at 22.74 in the 200-meter dash for a 6th place finish. In the 4x400-meter relay, Ramapo posted a 3rd place finish with a time of 3:26.68. Cortez,
Dillon Karlson,
Terrell Lockett and Dubac made up the team.
In the field events,
Jason Potterton posted a jump of 6.10-meters as he finished in 4th place overall. He finished 6th in the triple jump in 12.45-meters.
Ramapo will return to action on April 8th and April 9th when they travel to New York, NY for the MET Championships.
