Camden, NJ: The Ramapo College men's tennis team defeated Rutgers-Camden University 9-0 today in NJAC action. The Roadrunners move to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raptors now stand at 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
Kenny Elliott and
Matthew Doran won 8-4 at first doubles before
Bobby Ciarletta and
James Jackson posted an 8-1 win at second doubles. Ramapo won third doubled by forfeit.
In singles play, Elliott posted a 6-2, 6-2 win at first singles and Doran won 6-0 and 6-1 at second singles. Ciarletta recorded a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles while Jackson posted a shutout win at fourth singles, 6-0 and 6-0. Ramapo earned the win at fifth and sixth singles by forfeit.
Ramapo returns to action on Monday when they tomorrow travel to Pratt Institute for a 7pm non-conference match.
