Wayne, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team posted a 7-2 win over NJAC rival William Paterson University today on the road. The Roadrunners move to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the NJAC while the Pioneers now stand at 1-6 overall and 0-5 in the conference.
The Roadrunners won all three doubles matches while they were highlighted with a shutout win at first doubles as
Melanie Brentnall and
Kassie Britt posted an 8-0 win. At second doubles,
Melanie Colon-Leon and
Mackenzie Dates posted an 8-3 victory while
Roshay Baez and
Justine Gardella also posted an 8-3 win at third doubles.
Brentnall continued with a shutout win at first singles, 6-0 & 6-0 while Colon-Leon also posted a 6-3 & 6-1 win at second singles. Dates and Britt earned wins at third and fourth singles with scores of 6-0, 6-4 and 6-2, 6-2 respectively.
The Roadrunners return to action on Friday, April 15th when they travel to Rutgers-Camden University for a NJAC match at 3:30pm.
