Staten Island, NY: Five Roadrunners were crowned NJAC Champions last night at the 2022 NJAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. The event was held at Ocean Breeze Indoor Complex and hosted by New Jersey City University.
On the men's side, the team finished 4th with 80 total points.
Cheickna Traore was crowned NJAC Champion in the 60-meter dash (6.80 seconds) and 200-meter dash (21.38 seconds) as he posted NJAC meet records and new school records. Traore now holds school records in the 60m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 500m and 600m indoor events. He was also a part of the 4x400-meter relay team that took home second place with a combined time of 3:20.03. The team was made up of

Max Dubac and
Matt Cortez.
Chris Andersen was crowned NJAC Champion in the mile run when he crossed the finish line in 4:12.26.
Steven Fiumefreddo was crowned NJAC Champion in the 5k race when he clocked in at 14:57.63. Andersen also grabbed a second place finish in the 3k race when he posted a time of 8:38.74.
On the women's side, the team also finished in 4th place with 65 total points. Rebecca Kneppel was crowned NJAC Champion in the 60-meter dash when she clocked in at 7.87 seconds, which is 2nd all-time at Ramapo and a personal best. Delilah Cruz set a new school record in the prelims of the 60-meter hurdles, lowering her own school record time to 8.91 seconds. She was crowned NJAC Champion in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.94 seconds in the finals.
