Staten Island, NY: The Ramapo College men's indoor track and field team competed at the Fastrack National Invite at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Facility. The Roadrunners went up against competition across all three NCAA divisions.
In the 800-meter race,
Max Dubac clocked in at 1:57.54 for a 17th place finish while
Matt Cortez posted a time of 2:00.32. Three Roadrunners competed in the 3k race as
Jason Mercado finished first for the team in 9:11.21 while
Mohamed Nidaazzi crossed the finish line in 9:25.63 and
Ian McCauley set a new personal best in 9:30.97. Three Roadrunners also competed in the mile as
Ryan Scully placed 22nd overall in 4:42.97, a new personal best. Ben Straebler posted a time of 4:57.17 and
Jared Krick clocked in at 5:03.33. Dillon Karlson and
Christian Santiago competed in the 400-meter dash and posted a time of 53.50 seconds and 54.50 seconds respectively.
In the 200-meter dash,
Kenyon Fenderson finished first for the Roadrunners in 23.51 seconds while
Terrell Lockett crossed the finish line in 23.76 seconds, a new personal best. Dillon Karlson was next for Ramapo in 24.44 seconds while
Justin Martone crossed the finish line in 24.91 seconds, a new personal best. In the field events,
Jason Potterton posted a mark of 12.47-meters in the triple jump as he finished in 16th place while he posted a mark of 6.00-meters in the long jump. In the shot put,
Thomas Dardis recorded a throw of 10.43-meters.
The Roadrunners return to action on Monday, Feb. 21st when they compete at the 2022 Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by New Jersey City University at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Facility. The meet is set to begin at 4pm.
