New York, NY: The Ramapo College men's indoor track and field team hosted the Ramapo Season Opener today at the New York Armory. The meet hosted teams from NCAA Division I, II and III.
Cheickna Traore finished 3rd in the 600-meter dash, setting a new school record in 1:23.11 while
Chris Andersen finished right behind him in 4th place in 1:23.24.
Jason Potterton grabbed a 2nd place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 13.14-meters while he finished 11th in the long jump with a mark of 6.17-meters. In the 400-meter dash,
Max Dubac placed 9th overall with a time of 52.52 seconds, setting a new personal best.
In the mile,
Steven Fiumefreddo posted a new personal best time of 4:20.13 for a 4th place finish. In the 3k race,
Jason Mercado finished in 4th place with a time of 9:12.71, posting a new personal best.
Justin Martone placed 7th overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.34 seconds. In the 200-meter dash,
Kenyon Fenderson clocked in with a time of 23.26 seconds finishing in 13th place overall while
Ryan Scully posted a personal best time of 4:50.44 in the mile run. In the field events,
Sebastian Pross placed 10th overall with a mark of 11.54-meters in the weight throw. In the high jump,
Connor Belica placed 8th overall when he cleared 1.72-meters. The 4x400-meter relay team clocked in with a winning time of 3:26.26, the team was made up of Dubac, Fenderson, Andersen and Traore.
The Roadrunners return to action on Friday, Jan. 28th when they travel to the Great Dane Classic at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex for a 10:30am start.
