Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's tennis team defeated Rutgers-Camden University today 7-0 at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners now stand at 1-2 overall and 1-2 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raptors drop to 0-3 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
Ramapo's first doubles team of
Kenny Elliott and
Matthew Doran posted an 8-4 win before
Chris Yip and
Joshua Halperin teamed up at second doubles to win 8-2. All four Roadrunners won their singles matches along with
Bobby Ciarletta at fifth singles who posted a 5-7, 6-3, 10-6 win.
Ramapo will now wait for the NJAC Men's Tennis Tournament bracket to be announced for seeding in the East Division. The single elimination tournament begins on Friday, May 7th with the East Division Semifinals and the East Division Championship is on Sunday, May 9th.
