Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's soccer team opened the 2021 NJAC season today playing their first game since November 2019.  At the buzzer the game favored Rutgers Camden as they downed Ramapo, 3-0.  With the loss the Roadrunners open the season at 0-1 while Rutgers Camden checks off their first win at 1-0.
 
The Scarlet Raptors led at the half, 2-0 as Maggie Horn hit the back of the net first, off an assist from Maya Bocchicchio just 3:55 into the game.  With just 25 seconds left in the half, Ava Pizzaro blasted a header past the Ramapo netminder as the cross came from Sam Justis up the left side.  
 
Rutgers Camden led in shots in the half, 7-3 while they collected three corner kicks to Ramapo's zero.  Emma Conlan made one save in the net for Ramapo while Chloe Beasley made three of her own.  
 
In the second half, Rutgers Camden would take a 3-0 advantage at the 62:33 minute mark when Hailey Gould ripped a shot from 30 yards out.  The goal would be the final of the game.
 
Makenna Tahbaz took over for Ramapo in the goal halfway through the half as she collected zero saves in net.  Kayla McKeever played the final 45 minutes to the Scarlet Raptors and made two saves in the goal.  Shots went to Ramapo in the half as they outshot Rutgers Camden, 3-2.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, March 13^th as they travel to Stockton University for a 1pm kick-off.
