Ewing, NJ: The College of New Jersey Men's Swim team earned a 163-88 NJAC conference meet over Ramapo College this afternoon. The Lions improve to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the NJAC.
The 200-yard medley relay team placed second overall in 1:39.78. The team was made up of
Devin Alejado,
Emile Eeckhout,
Benjamin Gomez and
Josh Templeton. Eeckhout won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:00.04 while
Samuel De Leon finished in third with a time of 1:03.88. Eeckhout also took home a first place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:12.10. In the 100-yard freestyle, the Roadrunners went 2-3 as Templeton placed second (49.01) and
Matt Liedtka finished in third (50.93).
In the 1,000-yard freestyle,
Spencer Hughes placed second overall in 10:43.99 while Alejado placed second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 56.66 seconds.
The Roadrunners return to action Saturday, November 13th when they host NJAC rival Rowan University at 2pm.
