Union, NJ: The Kean University men's soccer team defeated Ramapo College tonight 3-0 in NJAC action. The Cougars improve to 11-4-1 overall and 6-3 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners wrap up the regular season 8-8-1 overall and 2-6-1 in the NJAC.
Sadeiki Roberts scored two of the three goals for Kean while Erick Chicas also scored. Roberts scored the eventual game-winner in the 38th minute in the first half to take a 1-0 lead. With 52:24 on the clock in the second half, Roberts found the back of the net once again to push the Kean lead to 2-0 before David Garcia connected with Chicas for the Cougars third goal of the game, 3-0, in the 73rd minute of action.
Dominic Ridge posted four saves for Kean in the shutout victory while
Joshua Schaffer stopped eight shots in the game for the Roadrunners. Kean collected 22 shots including 11 on goal while Ramapo posted ten shots and four on goal. Both teams recorded five corner kicks in the game.
