Newark, NJ: Ramapo College and Rutgers Newark men's soccer played to a draw tonight in an NJAC Conference match-up as the teams went scoreless in 110 minutes of play. With the tie, Ramapo now stands at 5-4-1 and 1-2-1 in the NJAC. Rutgers Newark stands at 6-3-2, 2-0-2 in conference play, and each team collects one point in the conference standings.
Both the Roadrunners and the Scarlet Raiders had their opportunities as more than 35 shots were taken in the game. Ramapo controlled the play out shooting Rutgers Newark, 24-12 but they were unable to capitalize traveling home with the 0-0 draw. The Roadrunners also earned seven corner kicks to RUN's four, while
Joshua Schaffer made four saves in the 110 minutes of play. Andres Medina made eight saves in the net for the Scarlet Raiders.
