Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team defeated Rutgers-Newark University 3-1 (25-18, 25-14, 13-25, 25-20) tonight at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners move to 6-12 overall, 1-5 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raiders now stand at 4-11 overall and 1-5 in the conference.
Stephanie Ross led the team with 13 kills while she collected 15 digs and one block in the match.
Riley Stewart posted seven kills and three blocks while
Grace Kim added six kills, 12 digs and three blocks.
Alexandra Sacchinelli posted a team high 17 assists while she added 18 digs and three kills.
Caleigh Golabek posted five kills, one ace and a team high six blocks while
Hannah McTighe dished out 16 assists in the match along with four digs.
Ashley Pichardo posted four kills, two digs and three blocks while
Aniella Bednarz collected five kills, two digs, four blocks including a team high two solo blocks.
Emma Moran led the way on defense with 20 digs.
For the Scarlet Raiders, Sharon Starling led the team with 12 kills while she added 12 assists, two blocks, three aces and five digs. Alexa Rivera posted seven kills while she posted 20 digs on defense. Rebekah Barnes added six kills, one ace, one assist and 17 digs and Jaclyn Shrubsall dished out a team high 20 assists in the match. Saniyiah Richardson recorded a team high 22 digs while she added three assists.
