Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team defeated Montclair State University 152-110 today in New Jersey Athletic Conference action. The Roadrunners now stand at 3-2 overall, 1-2 in the NJAC. The Red Hawks now stand at 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

Emile Eeckhout, Joshua Templeton, and Matthew Liedtka compiled the 200-yard medley relay team and pulled out a first-place finish in a close race with a time of 1:40.74. The Red Hawks were right behind them finishing with a time of 1:40.97. Bachar grabbed two first place finishes on the day, the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.87 and the 200-yard backstroke finishing with a time of 2:03.24. The 100-yard breaststroke had Roadrunners finish top 3, Eeckhout (1:00.17),
Sean Flannery (1:01.82) and Samuel Cossaboon (1:01.94). Eeckhout grabbed two more first place finishes for the day, the 200-yard breaststroke finishing 2:10.98 and the 200-yard IM finishing at 2:03.70.
Spencer Hughes grabbed a first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle finishing at 5:03.48 with Montclair State's Mitch Layne right behind him hitting the wall at 5:03.68. Hughes placed second in the 1,000-yard free, another close race with Layne (10:21.35) ,hitting the wall at 10:21.83. The final event of the day the 400-yard freestyle relay gave the Roadrunners one more first place spot with a time of 3:24.55. The team was made up of

The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, January 25 at 2:00pm when they host Widener University.
