Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's tennis team hosted the Roadrunner Invitational today at the Athletic Center. Drew University, Manhattanville College and FDU-Florham all participated in the singles-only invitational that included five flights and consolation rounds for each.
Alex Kogut won the A-Flight with two solid wins before taking the final match 8-7 over his teammate
Kenny Elliott. Earlier in the rounds Elliott won 8-3 in the opener and 8-2 in the semifinal.
Kevin Ilinets won his first two matches to go to the final round in B-Flight where he went up against his teammate
Joshua Halperin. Illinets won 8-6 in the B-Flight final.
Cyrus Dastparvardeh posted an 8-6 win in the first round of C-Flight while
Seth Frey also won his first match 8-6. Dastparvardeh won in the semifinal 8-1 before falling in the championship match.
Chris Yip posted an 8-4 win in the first round of the D-Flight before falling in the second round.
Ramapo returns to action when they host Farmingdale State College on Wednesday, October 2nd at 4pm.
