Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's tennis team advanced to their 7th straight GNAC Conference Championship match with a 5-0 win over Albertus Magnus College today at the Athletic Center.
The Roadrunners who are ranked first in the south division will travel to Eastern Nazarene on Saturday, May 4th for the GNAC Championship. The Lions, who are ranked first in the north division, also won their semifinal match 5-0 earlier today.
Ramapo won all three doubles matches to earn three team points heading into singles play.
Mike Abelev and
Cyrus Dastparvardeh won at first singles, 8-1 while
Alex Kogut and Seth Fry won at second doubles, 8-1.
Kevin Ilinets and
Bryce Blumenthal wrapped up the third team point at third doubles, also with an 8-1 win. Kogut, playing second singles, earned a 6-1, 6-1 win before Dastparvardeh wrapped up the semifinal win for Ramapo with a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles.
