Huntington, PA: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team wrapped up the 2019 season today as they fell short to the Hawks of Hunter College, 0-3 (21-25, 21-25, 20-25) in the semi-final match-up of the ECAC Championship Tournament hosted by Juniata. The Roadrunners finish the season at 15-16 overall. Hunter moves onto the finals match and improves to 19-13 overall.
The Roadrunners hit a combined .228 in the match with 36 kills on 79 attempts and 18 errors. Eric Van Thuyne and Jason Van Der Wilt each recorded a team leading eight kills while Brenden Russell, Stephen Codispodo, Conor Charlow and Andrew Finnegan each contributed five kills. Josh Titus dished out 32 assists and picked up a team leading 11 digs on defense.
For Hunter, Christian Maisonet led the team offensively with nine kills and Blake Hogan collected seven as the team hit a combined 33-83 with 11 errors hitting .265. Qendrim Shala added six kills and Alec Helford assisted on 27 points. Helford also led the team defensively with six digs.
The Hawks combined for 48 points and the Roadrunners combined for 43.
