Patchogue, NY:  The Saint Joseph's College of LI men's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-16) tonight in non-conference action at the Danzi Center. The Golden Eagles improve to 9-2 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 9-10 on the season.
 
A balanced offensive attack and good defense helped lead SJC over Ramapo. Will Flohr led the way with 11 kills, two assists and five digs while Paul Curaro tallied eight kills, three aces and 12 digs. Matthew Amberge posted seven kills and a team high 13 digs while Tyler Jones dished out a team high 29 assists. Jones also contributed with five digs and three total blocks including one solo block. The team hit .242 in the match with 36 total kills on 91 attempts and just 14 errors.
 
For the Roadrunners, Stephen Codispodo led the team with eight kills while he added one ace and three digs. Eric Van Thuyne posted six kills, one ace and five digs while Josh Titus posted a team high 22 assists. Titus added one kill, one assisted block and eight digs. Jason Van Der Wilt posted nine digs, five kills and Conor Charlow contributed with four kills, once ace and one assisted block. Tyler Plitt led the team on defense with 12 digs. The team tallied 25 total kills on 96 attempts with 16 errors in the match.
 
Ramapo returns to action when they host Elizabethtown College on Wednesday, March 13th in CVC conference action at 7:30pm.
