FALA NAMED D3SOCCER.COM ALL-AMERICAN

Mahwah, NJ:  Junior men's soccer player Joseph Fala has been named to the 2018 D3soccer.com All-America Second Team.

Fala led the 2018 Ramapo men's soccer team to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time in school history. He set a new school record for goals in a season with 27 while also setting a new program mark in single season points (61) and single season game-winning goals (11). He also collected seven assists this season, which is tied for second on the team. Fala finished second in goals against NCAA Division I & III athletes and first against NCAA Division II athletes. In division III-only statistics he finished first in game-winning goals (11), third in shots on goal per game (3.17), fifth in points per game (2.65) and sixth in goals per game (1.17). Fala scored the game-winner to help propel the Roadrunners to their first ever NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in a 1-0 win over Connecticut College in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Fala, who started all 23 games for the Roadrunners, was also named United Soccer Coaches NCAA Third Team All-American, United Soccer Coaches NCAA All-South Atlantic Region First Team, NJAC Offensive Player of the Year, NJAC First Team All-Conference and ECAC Division III Offensive Player of the Year.

The teams were chosen by D3soccer.com staff, Division III soccer coaches, and sports information directors from a field of more than 500 nominations. This is the ninth year that D3soccer.com has recognized the top men's and women's players from across the nation.
