Box Score 2 Schenectady, NY: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team split their final two matches at the Union College Invitational today. The Roadrunners defeated Buffalo State 3-2 (25-22,10-25,14-25,25-21,15-13) while they fell to Unions 3-1 (16-25, 25-22, 19-25, 13-25). Ramapo now stands at 2-3 on the season. Â

The Roadrunners battled back in their first match of the day to take the match in five sets 3-2 over Buffalo State.
Hannah Frascella let the way with 11 kills while she collected 12 digs and one block.
Morgan Ridgway added nine kills, two aces, two blocks and 19 digs while
Felicia Jimenez posted eight kills, two digs and two blocks in the match.
Kate Shirkey led the way with 17 assists while
Sara Correa dished out 14 of her own.
Aniella Bednarz came up big in the match with four solo blocks and five assisted blocks along with one kill, one assist and five digs. Correa led the way with five aces while
Kristina Semple posted a team high 20 digs including one ace and one kill.
Samantha Main posted one solo block and three assisted blocks in the match. The team hit .037 in the match with 36 kills on 163 attempts and 30 errors while Buffalo State hit .092 in the match with 50 kills on 174 attempts and 34 errors.

In their second match against Union the Roadrunners fell 3-1. Frascella led the team with 13 kills and 12 digs while Ridgway added 11 kills, one ace and four digs. Bednarz added eight kills, two digs and one solo block while Shirkey and Correa each dished out 17 assists while Shirkey tallied ten digs and Correa posted 11 digs. Semple added ten digs and three aces to lead the team. The Roadrunners hit .151 in the match with 45 kills on 139 attempts and 24 errors. Union hit .344 in the match with three players collecting double digit kills. The team posted 56 kills on 128 attempts with just 12 errors.

The Roadrunners will open the NJAC season when they travel to New Jersey City University on Tuesday, September 11th at 7pm.
