Box Score Newark, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's tennis team opened up GNAC conference play with a 9-0 win on the road against Rutgers-Newark University this afternoon. The Roadrunners improve to 7-3 overall and 1-0 in the GNAC while the Scarlet Raiders now stand at 1-6 overall, 0-1 in the conference.
 
Doubles action was highlighted by a shutout victory at second doubles from Kevin Ilinets and Mike Abelev with an 8-0 win. Adam Patrovica and Willen Feygin posted an 8-2 win at first doubles while Brendan Hines and Jack Cacciaguida also recorded an 8-2 win at third doubles. In single action, Abelev was the standout performer for Ramapo with a shutout over his opponent at third singles with 6-0, 6-0 victory.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, April 14th when they host Albertus Magnus College in a GNAC match at 12:00pm.
