Montclair, NJ: The Ramapo College baseball team won their 11th straight today with a 9-1 road win over Montclair State University this afternoon at Yogi Berra Stadium. The Roadrunners improved to 27-11 overall, 11-5 in the NJAC while the Red Hawks dropped to 19-17 overall and 7-9 in the conference. The Roadrunners served as the home team in the game.

Jon Brignoni (4-1) took a no-hitter into the fifth inning while he struck out ten, walked three and scattered three hits in eight innings of work earning the win for Ramapo.
Riley Weis worked the ninth as he struck out two.

Ramapo pounded out 11 hits in the game including four extra base hits. They got on the board in the bottom of the second inning with two runs when
Nick Camilleri drove home
Ryan MacNaughton and
Vincenzo Sita with a two out single to left field. The Roadrunners added one run in the fourth when
Bobby Shannon doubled and later scored on an infield throwing error 3-0 before they added their fourth run in the fifth inning.
Connor Walsh lifted a sac fly to right field, which plated
Austin Unglaub to extend the lead 4-0.

In the sixth inning, Shannon led off with a double down the left field line before he and Camilleri later scored on a MSU error to push the lead 6-0. In the seventh, the Roadrunners added two more runs extending the lead 8-0 when
Joe Maugeri walked and Walsh singled before they both advanced on a stolen base. Maugeri later scored on an error by MSU on a failed pick-off attempt at second base before MacNaughton drove home Walsh with a single to left field.

MSU added their lone run in the eighth inning with an unearned run while Ramapo tacked on the final run of the night in the bottom half of the inning for a 9-1 score. Unglaub singled with one out before he moved up two bases on two separate wild pitches before he later scored on a fielder's choice.

Five Roadrunners collected two hits in the game while Camilleri finished 2-4 with one run scored and two RBI. Unglaub was 2-5 with two runs scored while Maugeri, Walsh and MacNaughton each collected one RBI in the game.

Ramapo returns to action tomorrow, April 28th, on the road in a key NJAC doubleheader with Stockton University beginning at 11:30am.
