Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team defeated Yeshiva University today in non-conference action 6-3. The Roadrunners improve to 8-2 overall while the Maccabees now stand at 10-3 on the year.
The Roadrunners earned two team points from doubles action.
Marine Uyttenhove and Fran Chicherchia earned an 8-5 win at second doubles before
Megha Mehta and
Alexa Reeve teamed up for an 8-3 win at third doubles.
In singles action, Chicherchia came back to win 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 at second singles before Sabrina Kropochak earned a 6-3, 7-5 win at third singles. Reeve earned a 6-0, 7-5 win at fifth singles before
Christine Bednarz posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory at sixth singles.
The Roadrunners final match of the season against the College of Staten Island for Monday, April 23rd has been postponed and a makeup date is TBD.
