Mahwah, NJ:  The Rutgers-Newark University men's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College tonight 3-0 (25-20, 25-10, 25-22) in CVC conference action at the Golden Dome. The Scarlet Raiders improve to 13-1 overall and remain undefeated in the CVC with a 5-0 mark while the Roadrunners now stand at 4-10 overall and 2-4 in the CVC.
 
The Scarlet Raiders hit .378 as a team in the match while they were led by Corey Pieper who put down 11 kills on 20 attempts and only one error as he hit .500 in the match. Pieper also collected seven digs and one block while Justin Sandy and Ricky Crumlish each collected seven kills while Sandy posted seven digs and Crumlish added five digs and four blocks. Arnan Romua dished out a team high 19 assists while Travis Emenaker collected 12 of his own. Jake Connors posted a team high nine digs on defense while the team recorded 9.5 team blocks.
 
The Roadrunners were led by Stephen Codispodo who posted a season high ten kills while hit .368 in the match on 19 attempts and just three errors. Eric Van Thuyne added eight kills and a team high eight digs while Lucas Inglis dished out a team high 26 assists while he added one ace and four digs. Garrett Fitzsimmons added six kills, four digs and one solo block in the match. Nicholas Esposito recorded six digs on defense while Van Thuyne and Codispodo each collected one block. The team hit .060 in the match with 31 kills on 100 attempts and 25 errors.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Friday, March 2nd when they host #4 ranked Marymount University at the Bradley Center at 7pm.
