ROWAN DEFEATS RAMAPO IN FINAL REGULAR SEASON GAME

Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's basketball team fell to Rowan University, 71-47, on senior night in the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners finished the season 7-18 overall (4-14 NJAC), while the Profs improve to 15-9 overall (12-6 NJAC).

Ramapo honored six seniors in tonight's game: captain Bridgette Buckalew, Jina Crawford, Hannah Cambel, Kelly McNulty, Jillian Artrip, and Stephanie Johnson.

It was a slow start for the Roadrunners as they couldn't muster any offense in the first quarter. The Profs managed to pour in 19 points to take a decisive lead, as captain Alex Raring led the way for Rowan.

Crawford finally broke the seal for Ramapo with a crafty reverse layup at 1:50 in the second quarter. But the Prof wouldn't let up, continuing to rack up their lead. They went into the locker room with a 34-12 lead with Raring finishing with nine points, and April Szymczyk with eight. Crawford led the Roadrunners with seven points in the half.

The Roadrunners had a much better start to the second half with Crawford hitting the first two shots to add to her point total. Ramapo kicked up their defense to start the second half, going on a 6-0 run through 3:14 before the Profs finally got their first bucket.

However, the Profs kept their lead throughout the half. Dominique Peters led the Profs with a game-high 16 points, going 6-of-19 from the field including three three-pointers. Szymczyk finished with 12 points as well.

Crawford finished with a team-high 15 points on 7-for-14 from the field, including eight second-half points. Jessica Repasy, Alie Wickersham, and Jenna Harsh each finished with six points
