Mahwah, NJ:   The #13 New Paltz men's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-16) tonight at the Bradley Center. The Hawks improve to 3-2 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-4 on the season.
 
The Hawks are ranked #13 in the latest AVCA Top 15 Poll that was announced Tuesday afternoon. New Paltz posted 39 kills in the match and hit .435 as a team while Nick Smith led the team with 11 kills on 17 attempts with only three errors hitting .471. Aaron Clark collected nine kills while Bradley Schneider posted five kills on eight attempts and only one error as he hit .500 in the match. Matt Grace dished out a team high 28 assists while Robert Nolan posted a team high seven digs on defense. Nick Denoncourt led the team with three blocks.
 
For the Roadrunners, Garrett Fitzsimmons led the way on offense with six kills while Eric Van Thuyne added four of his own. The team hit .088 in the match with 18 total kills on 57 attempts with 13 errors. Lucas Inglis dished out a team high 17 assists while Conor Charlow collected three assisted blocks and one solo block to lead the team.
 
Ramapo returns to action Friday, February 2nd when they host Cairn University at 7pm in the first Continental Volleyball Conference match of the season.
