FORD NETS CAREER HIGH IN 82-67 WIN OVER KEAN

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's basketball teams defeated Kean University, 82-67, to continue their undefeated home streak alive. The Roadrunners improve to 15-5 overall (11-2 NJAC) while the Cougars move to 5-15 overall (3-9 NJAC).
 
Josh Ford netted the first basket on Ramapo's first possession to kick-start their 18-6 run through the first six minutes. Ford would finish the half with 11 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Tom Bonacum also notched double-digits in the half with 10 points on 5-of-10 shooting as well as eight rebounds.
 
Micah Kerr and Keenan Williams Jr. had a team-high six points each in the first half for Kean. The Roadrunners went into the locker room with a strong 39-26 lead.
 
The second half started with the Roadrunners getting two quick buckets off turnovers to extend their lead. Patrick Peterson was feeling it from beyond the arc with two three pointers on his way to a nine-point game. Nick Stanek also poured in seven points on 3-of-5 shooting, while Ford had another 11-point half.
 
Williams Jr. and Carry Saturne both tallied 11 points in the second half, but Kean couldn't mount a comeback as the Roadrunners kept their second half lead in tack.
 
Ford finished with a career-high 22 points while Bonacum totaled a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Stanek notched 11 points with Peterson and James Long finishing with nine and seven points respectively along with team high 11 assists. As a team, the Roadrunners shot 52.2 percent from the field, while holding Kean to 43.6 percent.
 
Williams Jr. and Saturne would both lead Kean with 17 points apiece.
 
The next time the Roadrunners are in action will be on the road at Rutgers-Newark University on Jan. 31st for a key NJAC match-up at 8pm.
