MOSELEY LEADS AS RAMAPO EARNS NJAC WIN OVER ROWAN

Glassboro, NJ:  Behind 18 points from Christopher Moseley, the Ramapo College men's basketball team collected their seventh win in the New Jersey Athletic Conference as they defeated the Profs of Rowan University, 86-76 on the road.  Ramapo jumps ahead to 11-4 overall as the Profs fall to 8-7 overall and .500 in conference play at 4-4.

Moseley finished the night shooting 7-12 from the floor including a perfect 2-2 from the charity stripe and from behind the three-point arc, collecting a team high 18 points.  James Long went 5-10 from the field and nailed down three long shots to net 15 points in the win.  Thomas Bonacum added 13 points and Patrick Peterson added ten as Nick Stanek led with a team high ten rebounds.  Bonacum dished out five assists, Long added four, and Peterson led with three steals.  Ramapo caused 16 Rowan turnovers and the team hit a combined 35-79 (44%) on the night.

Rowan came out on fire netting a three-point basket but Ramapo quickly responded as they climbed to a six-point lead with a layup from Stanek just three minutes into the game.  The Profs would tie the game at the 15:24 minute mark with a long shot from DaRon Curry, but again Ramapo took control of the offensive game leading by ten, 29-19 with a three from Peterson, and 12, 31-19 with a tip-in from Jordan Zagadou.  The halftime buzzer would sound with Ramapo leading 50-38 after the first 20 minutes of play.  Moseley collected 12 points in the half as the team went 22-43 (51%).

A jumper from Bonacum at the start of the second half would put Ramapo on top, 52-38, but the Profs pushed with an 18-6 run to take the lead 58-56 with a three-point goal from Curry with 13:27 to play.  The Profs held the lead for the next six minutes but at 7:11, a three from Peterson, followed by a free throw from Zagadou would put Ramapo back on top, 71-69.  Ramapo never looked back climbing to a ten-point advantage on two occasions, including at the buzzer with a basket from Stanek, to take the game, 86-76.  Bonacum and Long each led in the half with eight points as the team went 13-36 (36%) from the floor.
