Mahwah, NJ: An early goal is all that was needed for the Blues of Whitman College to surpass the Ramapo College men's soccer team, 1-0 in their 2017 home opener today on the Mahwah campus.  With the loss the Roadrunners fall to 1-2 to start the year while the Blues pick up their first win of the season to improve to 1-2.  

In the ninth minute, Peter Stephens would find the back of the net collecting his first goal of the season and putting the Blues on top, 1-0.  The goal would turn out to be the game winner as Witman held Ramapo to just four shots in the game collecting 23 of their own as a team.

Owen Davis-Bower earned the shut out win as he made ove save in net.  Ryan Sprague played the full 90 minutes for Ramapo making eight saves.

The Roadrunners return to action on the road on Saturday, September 9th when they travel to Eastern Connecticut for a noon kick-off.  Last season the Roadrunners defeated Eastern Connecticut, 2-1 at home.
