Hilton Head, SC: The Ramapo College men's tennis team opened the 2017 spring season with a 5-4 win over Western New England to improve to 2-2 overall on the year.
Willen Feygin opened the scoring with a 6-0, 6-4 win at first singles before
Adam Patrovics posted a 6-3, 6-3 win at second singles to jump ahead 2-0 on the day. The Roadrunners lost third singles but took fourth singles 6-0, 6-2 to lead 3-1 in the match-up.
Kevin Ilinets won at fourth singles to give the Roadrunners the lead. Western New England would make it a match taking the last two singles match-ups tying it up at 3-3.
In doubles actions, Ramapo pairs Feygin and Patrovics and
Justin Reich and
Brendan Hines would take home the wins giving Ramapo the 5-4 win on the road. Feygin and Patrovics won 8-0 and Reich and Hines took the match-up 8-6.
The Roadrunners return to action tomorrow at 9am when they take on Concordia University.
