Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team played host to Baruch, #10 Stevenson, and Lasell today at the Bradley Center where they came out with three straight wins including a 3-0 sweep over #10 ranked Stevenson to jump ahead 7-1 overall on the year.
In their first match-up with Baruch, the Roadrunners swept the Bearcats, 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-15) behind 13 kills from Justin Feigeles and ten from Paul Close. The team combined for 39 kills on 95 attempts and just nine errors hitting .316 in the win. Mikhael Erushalimski dished out 30 assists and led the defense along with Terrance Cando, each picking up eight digs. Nick Amos collected three blocks in the match-up. For Baruch, Stephen Roach collected ten kills as the team went 28-92 with 18 errors hitting .109. Brendan Murphy dished out 21 assists and Kryiakos Semertzidis picked up a team leading 12 digs.
The Roadrunners swept #10 ranked Stevenson, 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-20) as Feigeles led the team again, this time with nine kills. Connor Brandow put away eight kills as the team went 31-65 with nine errors hitting .338. Erushalimski dished out 24 assists and Jordan Elam collected a commanding 12 total blocks. Close put away five blocks and Cando picked up a team leading eight digs. Landon Shorts led Stevenson collecting eight kills and Michael Fehrs picked up seven as the team went 36-95 with 29 errors hitting .074. Kyle Johnson dished out 22 assists and Fehrs led the defense with five digs.
In their final match-up of the day, the Roadrunners posted a 3-1 (25-22, 25-19, 18-25, 25-15) win over Lasell behind 18 kills from Feigeles. Close collected eight kills and Elam and Brandow each added seven. The team hit a combined 47-110 with 25 errors hitting .200 in the win. Erushalimski dished out 42 assists, Brandow put away four service aces, and Cando led the defense with 11 digs. Feigeles picked up nine digs of his own on the day. Elam collected five blocks and Amos added four in the win. Jeffrey Vautrin led Lasell as he collected 16 kills in the loss. Tristan Davis picked up 13 of his own as the team went 44-115 with 24 errors hitting .174. Andy Henriquez collected 36 assists and Jordan Aprea led the defense with 11 digs.

Lasell defeated the #10 ranked Stevenson today, 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-22) behind ten kills each from Davis and Vautrin. The team hit a combined 37-99 with 19 errors hitting .182 as Henriquez dished out 31 assists. Aprea picked up ten digs in the win and Janci Soto collected six blocks. For Stevenson, Fehrs led with ten kills and the team combined for 28 on 86 attempts with 25 errors hitting .035. Derek Tangorra collected nine digs and Johnson dished out 22 assists in the loss.
Baruch dropped a second match-up of the day, this time to Lasell, 0-3 (19-25, 17-25, 15-25) as Vautrin collected ten kills for Lasell. Lasell hit 36-78 with ten errors hitting .333 while Henriques dished out 31 assists. Henriques picked up four digs while Patrick MacDonald and Aprea collected four digs each in the win. Nicholas Godino led Baruch with eight kills and Roach collected six as the Bearcats hit .160 with 28 kills on 75 attempts with 16 errors. Murphy dished out 15 assists and Aaron Kim added nine, while the defense was led by Semertzidis with seven digs.
In the final match of the day Stevenson came out on top, 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-15) over Baruch behind seven kills each from Shorts, Fehrs, and Jason Gardner. The team went 32-72 with eight errors hitting .333. Kyle Johnson dished out 27 assists and the defense was led by Tangorra with 11 digs. Baruch hit .000 in the loss with 22 kills and 22 errors on 81 attempts. Murphy dished out 13 assists and Semertzidis picked up nine digs.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, February 8th when they travel to #2 New Paltz for a 7pm match-up on the road.
