MEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS TWO AT VASSAR

Poughkeepsie, NY:  The Ramapo College men's volleyball team dropped two tough match-ups today on the road to #8 Vassar and Johnson and Wales to fall to 7-5 overall on the year. 
 
The Roadrunners dropped a tough, 0-3 (25-27, 17-25, 13-25) match-up this morning to the #8 ranked Vassar College to fall to 7-4 overall.  Justin Feigeles recorded ten kills and Paul Close added six as the team went 27-89 with 24 errors hitting .034.  Garrett Fitzsimmons dished out 21 assists and the defense was led by Feigeles with nine digs.  Close collected two assisted blocks in the loss.  Vassar was led by George Diehl with nine kills and Matthew Knigge with eight as the team hit a combined .195 with 31 kills on 77 attempts and 16 errors.  Zachariah Lee collected 25 assists and Trey Cimorelli picked up a team leading ten digs.
 
In their second match of the day the Roadrunners drop a second tough match-up to Johnson and Wales, 0-3 (23-25, 24-26, 21-25) to fall to 7-5 overall on the season. Connor Brandow led the Roadrunners with 11 kills and Feigeles added ten in the loss as the team went 40-106 with 20 errors hitting .189.  Fitzsimmons dished out 32 assists and Feigeles picked up a team leading 14 digs.  Eric Van Thuyne picked up ten digs in the loss.  For Johnson and Wales, Brendan Baker led the way with 20 kills as the team went 42-92 with just nine errors hitting .359.  Cameron Ponce dished out 29 assists and Alex Seda picked up a team leading 11 digs. 
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, February 15th when they host Hunter College at the Bradley Center at 7pm.
