Union, NJ: The #7 Ramapo College men's basketball team defeated Kean University 95-57 as four Roadrunners scored in double figures this afternoon. The Roadrunners move their win streak to seven games and improve to 7-1 overall, 5-0 in the NJAC. The Cougars now stand at 1-6 overall, 1-4 in the conference.

Josh Ford led the Roadrunners in the game as he finished 8-11 from the field including one three-pointer as he scored 17 points and tallied four steals.
Thomas Bonacum added 16 points, five rebounds and six assists while
Christopher Moseley added 12 points and a team high nine rebounds.
Rob Lewis came off the bench and contributed with ten points while
Patrick Peterson dished out a team high nine assists. The Roadrunners defense held the Cougars to 57 points and forced 25 turnovers in the game, which led to 37 points for Ramapo.

The Roadrunners led the entire game when they went on a quick 6-0 run to open the first half. Ford scored back-to-back baskets before Moseley added a layup of his own before Kean got on the board with a three-pointer from DeAndre Thomas with less than 17 minutes on the clock. With a 12-9 lead Ramapo extended the lead going on a 15-point run that included back-to-back three-pointers from Ford and
Zahir Newell before Moseley posted a dunk to put the Roadrunners up 27-9 with 10:12 on the clock. Following a tip-in from
Jordan Zagadou 35-16 (5:53) the Cougars went on a run of their own. Kean posted a nine-point swing cutting the lead to 35-25 with 3:20 left to play in the first half. Long sank a three-pointer and Moseley recorded a layup for a 40-25 score. Ramapo outscored Kean 9-5 in the final three minutes of action including a last second jumper from Bonacum to take a 19-point lead into halftime 49-30.

Bonacum scored a jumper to begin the second half and put Ramapo up 51-30 as the Roadrunners held a 20+point lead for the remainder of the game. They used an 11-point run to take a 32-point lead, 70-38 with less than 11 minutes on the clock as Bonacum sank a three-pointer off a dish from Ford. Another ten point run with under ten minutes to play was started by Lewis when he sank a pair of free throws before Zagadou capped off the run with a dunk for an 82-47 lead (6:45). Ramapo held a 30+ lead in the final minutes of the game while the Roadrunners scored the final six points of the game for a 95-57 road win.

Ramapo shot 54% (39-72) from the field, 38% (7-18) from the three-point line and 76% (10-13) from the free throw line.

For Kean, Thomas led the team with 16 points while Stephen Strom added 12 points off the bench for the Cougars. Mike Summerer recorded a team high seven rebounds while he added four points. The Cougars shot 36% (20-55) from the field, 30% (10-33) from the three-point line and 63% (7-11) from the free throw line.

The Roadrunners return to action on Friday, December 15th when they host Farmingdale State College at 7:30pm at the Bradley Center.
