Camden, NJ: The #19 Ramapo College men's basketball team needed a second half comeback to defeat Rutgers-Camden University on the road tonight 94-86. The Roadrunners remain undefeated at 12-0 overall and 6-0 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raptors now stand at 0-9 overall and 0-6 in the conference.

The Roadrunners, who saw themselves down 20 points at halftime, put up 53 points in the second half and held on for their 12th win of the season. Three Roadrunners scored in double figures in the game as
Thomas Bonacum led the team with 21 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks.
Sultan Aminu posted a double-double 17 points and 11 rebounds including a team high four blocks.
Christopher Moseley also contributed 17 points, three rebounds and two assists.
Nick Stanek posted 12 points and five rebounds off the bench in 18 minutes of action. Ramapo out rebounded the Scarlet Raptors 37-25 and scored 32 points off of 22 Rutgers-Camden turnovers.

With under seven minutes to play in the first half, a three-pointer from Bonacum tied the game at 33 all, the ninth tie in the game, before Rutgers-Camden went on a 16-1 run to take a 49-34 lead with 4:04 on the clock. The Scarlet Raptors extended their lead heading into halftime 61-41. Â

Ramapo trailed by 18 points with 16:41 on the clock before going on a explosive 23-2 run that put them back up by three 70-67 with 11 minutes left in the game. Rutgers-Camden went on a 10-0 run of their own to take back the lead 77-70 score with 7:39 on the clock. Aminu scored a basket for Ramapo (7:04) that started an 8-0 run and taking a one-point lead with 5:59 on the clock. In the final five minutes of action the scored was tied three times, the final time being 86-86 on an and-one play from
Cory Soanes as he made a basket and was fouled. Soanes converted on the free throw that started the final run for Ramapo. Aminu sank back-to-back baskets for an 89-86 lead with 2:21 left to play while
Josh Ford scored a layup with 1:37 on the clock. Bonacum sank one of two free throws and Aminu tallied the final two points of the game on the free throw line to seal the victory 94-86.

Five players for Rutgers-Camden scored in double figures in the game. The team was led by Marcus Taylor who recorded 20 points while Keith Washington added 18 points of his own. Elijah Robles posted 15 points and five rebounds while Charlie Riccardi added 13 points and Isaac Destin collected 12 points in the game. The team shot 56% (32-57) from the field, 47% (10-21) from beyond the three-point line and 92% (12-13) from the free throw line.

The #19 Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, January 7th when they host NJAC rival The College of New Jersey at 3pm.
