Wayne, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team defeated NJAC rival William Paterson University tonight on the road 175-84. The Roadrunners improve to 4-3 overall and 1-3 in the NJAC while the Pioneers stand at 10-5 overall and 0-3 in the NJAC.
The 200-yard medley relay team posted a winning time of 1:41.20 to grab 11 points for Ramapo. The team was made up of
Matt Stenger,
Aviad Mana,
Julian Giglio and
Jesse Smith.
Chaz Cella (10:36.29),
Nicholas Markwell (10:41.30) and
Tyler Czubachowski (11:29.43) went 1-2-3 respectively in the 1,000-yard freestyle.
Aspen-Jade Tucker won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:54.30 while
Patrick Herrera placed second in 1:57.30.
RJ Carillo and
Jesse Smith went 1-2 in the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:03.04 and 1:03.56 respectively. Giglio won the 200-yard butterfly (2:08.20) while Tucker won the 100-yard freestyle in 50.58. Carillo touched the wall first in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:18.61 and Cella won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:09.37. The 400-yard freestyle relay team made up of
Tomer Bachar, Giglio,
Evan Graziano and
Benjamin Kern posted a winning time of 3:24.65.
The Roadrunners final regular season meet will be on the road on Saturday, February 4th when they travel to Drew University for a 1pm start.
