Montclair, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team fell to NJAC rival Montclair State University today 100-154. The Red Hawks improve to 7-3 overall and 1-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-3 overall, 0-3 in the conference.
The 200-yard medley relay team posted a time of 1:39.23 for a second place finish. The team was made up of
Jose Alferez,
RJ Carillo,
Evan Graziano and
Tomer Bachar. Alferez placed second in the 100-yard backstroke when he touched the wall in 54.29 while
Matt Stenger clocked in at 58.53 for a fourth place finish.
Carillo and
Aviad Mana went 2-3 in the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:01.94 and 1:02.68 receptively. In the 200-yard backstroke, Alferez placed second with a time of 1:59.26 while
Tyler Czubachowski placed third overall in 2:09.26. Carillo clocked in at 2:16.10 in the 200-yard breaststroke for a second place.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, January 28th when they host FDU-Forham for a non-conference meet at 2pm. Ramapo will honor their senior class in a ceremony prior to the meet.
