Scranton, PA: The Ramapo College men's tennis team earned their first win of the 2016-2017 season with a 5-4 non-conference victory at the University of Scranton. The Roadrunners now stand at 1-2 overall while the Royals even their record at 2-2.
The Roadrunners came out of doubles action down two team points as
Willen Feygin and
Jeremy Rosen were the only pair to win their match. They defeated Michael Pottieger and Brandon Ostrowski 8-4 at first doubles.
Feygin recorded a 6-2, 6-0 win at first singles while Rosen won at second singles, 6-1, 6-4.
Justin Reich posted a 7-5, 6-0 win at sixth singles before
Adam Patrovics earned a hard fought win at third singles to clinch the road win for Ramapo. With the match tied 4-4, Patrovics defeated Charles Swope with a hard fought win 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 10-5.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday when they host the Roadrunner Invitational beginning at 10am.
