Newburgh, NY: The Ramapo College men's swim team defeated Mount Saint Mary College today 146-40 in their first meet of the 2016-2017 season. The Roadrunners open up the year a 1-0 while the Knights even their record at 1-1 overall.
Jose Alferez,
RJ Carillo,
Evan Graziano and
Tomer Bachar combined to win the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:41.78.
Tyler Czubachowski won the 1000 yard freestyle (10:51.28) while
Chaz Cella took second (10:51.91) and Nick Markwell placed third (11:02.43). Aspen Jade Tucker won the 200 yard freestyle in 1:52.41 while Bachar captured a first place finish in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 22.85.
Jesse Smith placed first (2:05.99) in the 200 yard IM while Graziano took home a first place finish in the 100 yard butterfly in 54.87.
Alferez and Bachar went 1-2 in the 100 yard backstroke in 55.33 and 57.18 respectively. Tucker posted a winning time of 5:13.48 in the 500 yard freestyle while Carillo posted a winning time in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:02.84.

Alex Barszcz combined to win the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:33.79.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host New Paltz on October 29th at 2pm.
