Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

IWASKIW, ALMEDA LEAD RAMAPO OVER ST. JOSEPH'S - LI 3-0

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's volleyball team extended their win streak to 13 straight matches with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-22) victory over St. Joseph's College Long Island today at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners improve to 17-3 overall while the Golden Eagles fall to 4-10 on the year.
 
Ramapo was led by Larysa Iwaskiw with 22 kills while Karina Almeda tallied seven and Emily Guzman posted three. Almeda also led the team with six aces and 12 digs on defense. Kate Shirkey posted a team high 23 assists while Rachel Selmore added ten of her own. Kristen Behrens posted 11 digs and Iwaskiw added nine on defense for the Roadrunners. The Roadrunners hit .198 in the match with 36 kills on 101 attempts and 16 errors.
 
For the Golden Eagles, Kiersten Kissinger led the team with nine kills while Claire Urizzo posted five of her own. Courtney Wickline dished out a team high 17 assists while Kissinger posted a team high 13 digs. The team hit .064 in the match with 24 kills on 109 attempts and 17 errors.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, October 4th when they travel to NJAC rival Kean University for a match at 7pm.
 
Other Matches:
Alfred State defeated Neumann University 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-16, 25-21) to remain undefeated at 11-0 overall. Bryanna Godfrey tallied 17 kills and seven digs for Alfred while Jessica Padley posted nine kills, four aces and eight digs. Madison Szpaicher posted a team high 38 assists and nine digs in the match. For Neumann (6-11 overall), Hayley Glah led the team with 12 kills while Melanie Malseed posted 10 kills and Rachael Hoffman added eight kills. Rachel Cray tallied a team high 34 assists while she posted seven digs. Nikki Collevechio and Ali Frey each tallied ten digs on defense.

Neumann defeated St. Joseph's Long Island 3-1 (19-25, 25-22, 27-25, 25-22). Four Nuemann players tallied double digit kills with Hoffman posting 18 kills. Glah tallied 12 and Malsee and Sullivan added ten each. Cray dished out a match high 51 assists while Glah and Collevechio posted 16 digs to lead the team on defense. For the Golden Eagles, Kissinger and Courtney Bocchieri tallied 11 kills while Courtny Wickline added 34 assists to lead the team. Senecal posted 19 digs to lead the team on defense.
