Box Score Schenectady, NY:  The Ramapo College field hockey team dropped a non-conference road game to Union College 4-1 tonight at Frank Bailey Field. The Roadrunners fall to 1-6 overall while Union now stands at 4-2 on the year.
 
Ramapo's Melissa Choka scored the first goal of the game off a pass from Megan Quinlan following a corner in the 16th minute (15:04). Union would tie the game a few minutes later 1-1 with a goal from Hannah Madden (17:36) off an assist from Sayyid Hasan, it was Madden's fourth goal of the year. Kelsey Masselli took a deflection off an earlier shot and hit the back of the net with the eventual game winning goal in the 29th minute of the game (28:22), her first of the year.
 
Madden would score an unassisted goal, her fifth of the year, just 45 seconds into the second half (35:45) to extend the Union lead, 3-1. Following a penalty stroke awarded to Union, Alexa Steriti stepped up to take the shot and scored her fourth goal of the season in the 49th minute (48:49). Union outshot the Roadrunners 14-9 in the game and 8-4 in shots on goal. Union also held a slight advantage in corners 11-8. Roadrunner goalie Emily Kramer tallied four saves in the game.

Ramapo returns to action on September 27th when they travel to King's College for a non-conference game at 1pm.
