Willimantic, CT: The Ramapo College men's soccer team fell to the Warriors of Eastern Connecticut today on the road in a non-conference match-up, posting their first loss of the 2015 season to fall to 3-1-1 overall. Eastern Connecticut, ranked #13 in the nation, improved to 4-0.
Justin Jensen scored a hat trick for Eastern and Alexander Fazzino posted the first goal of the game, the game winner, at the 37:32 minute mark
to lead the Warriors over the Roadrunners. Ryan Murphy and Brendan West split time in goal for Eastern Connecticut combining for four saves while Ramapo's Matthew Hernandez collected two saves of his own in his first loss.
Eastern Connecticut held a slight advantage in shots, 5-4 in the first half and even at four each in the second, for a 9-8 edge in the game. Ramapo earned five corner kicks to the Warriors' two in the match-up.
Ramapo will return to action on Wednesday, September 16th when they travel to Arcadia University for a 5:30 PM game.
