Box Score Appleton, WI: The Frostburg State University baseball team defeated Ramapo College 3-1 today at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in the opening game of the 2015 NCAA Division III College World Series. Frostburg State improves to 42-7 overall and are currently ranked #2 in both the D3baseball.com Top 25 and ABCA Top 25 polls. The Bobcats move on to tomorrow's game at 1:15pm. The Roadrunners (32-15) will now take on the loser of #1 Cortland State and Webster College tomorrow at 10am in an elimination game.

Walker Larson induced a pop fly and strike out looking to end the inning. Nick Walker drove home Ricky Castro with a hard hit single through the right side of the infield.
Ramapo tied the game in the top of the second inning 1-1.
Rafael Dela Cruz was hit by a pitch with two outs and moved to second on a wild pitch before
Ryan Rinsky singled through the left side. Dela Cruz initially stopped at third but was able to come home as the Bobcat left fielder misplayed the ball in the outfield.
In the third the Roadrunners got out of a jam as Walker lined into a unassisted double play with runner's on first and third.
Connor Walsh caught the line drive back at him at first base and turned and tagged the first base bag to complete the double play to get out of the third inning jam. Ramapo held the Bobcats scoreless through the fifth inning with another double play. Connor Cooper drew a leadoff walk before Jamall Windom popped up a bunt infront of the mound. Walker dove and caught the ball before he fired to first base to double off Cooper for the second out of the inning. Walker induced a flyout to end the fifth.
With two outs in the bottom of the sixth Zach Keeler drove home two runs to take a 3-1 lead. Rick Castro and Ricky Brady reached base on an infield error and intentional walk before both moved up a base on a wild pitch. Keller then sent a 3-2 pitch into center field driving home the eventual game winning runs. The Roadrunners could not push across another run in the game as the Bobcats came away with the 3-1 victory.
Larson (10-3) pitched a complete game in the loss; he struck out five and walked two (one intentional) while he surrendered three hits (one earned).
Joe Venturino led the Roadrunners at the plate with a 3-4 performance with one double.

The Bobcats collected nine hits in the game as Castro and Windom each collected two hits. Greg Schneider (9-1) struck out four and walked three in seven innings of work for Frostburg State. Nick Huff earned his fifth save of the season, he did not give up a hit in the final two innings while he struck out one and walked none.
