Glassboro, NJ: The #1 Rowan University softball team came back to defeat #2 Ramapo College today with two runs in the bottom of the seventh 2-1 to advance in the NJAC Tournament.

Kim LaPenta drove home
Nicole Hernandez to take a 1-0 lead.

Rowan would score two unearned runs in the bottom of the seventh to take the game 2-1. Amanda Toomer drove home pinch runner Sierra Machinksi with an infield ground out for the second out of the inning while Sammy Vradenburg advanced to third on the play, a throw from the Ramapo infield to try and get Vradenburg out at third sailed wide of third allowing her to come home and score the game winning run for Rowan.

Beth Ann Hyland (17-3) scattered four hits while she walked one and did not strike out a batter in the win.

The Profs move onto the Championship game of the 2015 NJAC Tournament while the Roadrunners take on #5 Kean University at 11am. The winner will advance to play Rowan in a winner take all final at 1pm. The winner of the NJAC Tournament will earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
