Mahwah, NJ: With a sweep of the #3 seeded New Jersey City University, the #2 seeded Ramapo College men's volleyball team is advancing to the finals of the 2015 Skyline Championship Tournament. Ramapo posted a 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-17) victory to improve to 19-16 overall on the year, while NJCU wraps up the tournament at 17-15 and awaits news on a bid to the ECAC Championship Tournament.
Ryan Casci led the Roadrunners on the night hitting .571 with 14 kills on 21 attempts with just two errors, while rookie
Justin Feigeles posted ten kills on 18 attempts and no errors hitting .556 in the win. Ramapo combined hitting .398 going 44-83 with 11 errrors.
Alec Weissman dished out 35 assists and
Kurt MacDonald picked up a team leading seven digs on defense. The team combined for 5.5 blocks.
NJCU hit a combined .152 in the loss as Daque Wilcox led the way with seven kills hitting .235. John Leon went 5-18 with five errors as he dished out a team leading 12 assists. Eric Maldonado collected 11 assists and Nick Poh led the team's defense with eight digs.
The Roadrunners will travel to the #1 seeded Cougars of Kean University on Saturday, April 11th for a chance to earn the championship trophy and a trip to the 2015 NCAA Championship Tournament.
