Camden, NJ: The Rutgers-Camden University softball team swept Ramapo College, 4-1 in game one and 10-2 in six innings in game two. The Scarlet Raptors improve to 19-11 overall, 9-7 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners fall to 22-11-1 overall, 11-4-1 in the NJAC.
The Scarlet Raptors led 2-0 heading into the top of the fifth inning before Ramapo got on the board in the top half of the inning.
Nicole Hernandez scored on a fielding error to cut the lead in half, 1-2 before RU-Camden added two unearned runs in the bottom half of the fifth inning for a 4-1 lead.
Brittany Scott (14-10) kept Ramapo off the board in the final two innings. She struck out two and walked four while scattering three hits.
Ramapo starting pitcher Katrina Buzkowski (10-6) struck out five and walked one while she surrendered five hits in the game.

The Scarlet Raptors added eight more runs in the game to take the game 10-2 in a run-ruled six inning game.

Paige Merle (5-1) suffered her first loss of the season. She struck out five, walked six and surrendered six runs (five earned) in 4.2 innings of work.
Danielle Isenberg worked the final .2 innings; she walked two, surrendered two hits and gave up four runs (three earned).
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday when they host NJAC rival the College of New Jersey at 1pm.
